We continue to recognise that the COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted Victoria from both a health and economic perspective. For this reason, we remain agile in everything we do, maintaining the needs of Victorians as a priority.
To support cash flow for Victorian businesses, we responded by establishing a cross-divisional team dedicated to processing COVID-19 payroll tax relief refund applications lodged for the previous financial year.
Within 80 days of operating, the team:
- processed over 9,000 refund work items
- processed $205 million in refunds to Victorian taxpayers.
