In 2022–23, we prepared to implement 2 new revenue lines on 1 July 2023:
- Windfall gains tax applies from 1 July 2023 to land owners that receive a value uplift to their land of more than $100,000 as a result of rezoning.
- The collection and administration of casino tax transferred from the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission on 1 July 2023.
In other work, we assessed $976.5 million through compliance activities, delivering on our strategic goal to maximise customer compliance.
We also continued to improve our online services to meet our customers’ needs, aligned with our strategic goal to modernise our technology as a digital-first revenue agency.
We increasingly engaged with our customers through digital channels, including our website (58.8 million page views) and emails to 186,732 subscribers.
